Office of Design & Editorial

Our Mission

The Office of Design & Editorial Content crafts innovative materials that inform audiences worldwide about U.S. foreign policy priorities. In addition, the office generates and distributes creative content to foreign audiences that explores U.S. society and American values; frequent subjects include the benefits of democracy, rule of law, free and fair trade, foreign aid, civil rights, and religious freedom. The office publishes thousands of original articles, photo galleries, posters, infographics, and quote panels each year. Each output is tailored to the specific message, platform, and audience. Fresh content from the office appears daily on hundreds of U.S. Embassy digital properties worldwide, the Department’s flagship digital properties, and the Bureau of Global Public Affairs’ ShareAmerica digital platforms. In addition, U.S. Government partners and third-party sites worldwide routinely feature the office’s products on their own properties.
