Pamela D. Pryor's term ended on January 20, 2021.

Pam Pryor serves as the Senior Bureau Official for International Organization Affairs, a role in which she oversees U.S. engagement at the United Nations and dozens of other international organizations.  Leading a diverse team of foreign service and civil service professionals, Ms. Pryor guides U.S. multilateral diplomacy to advance U.S. national security, promote American values worldwide, and ensure effective use of U.S. taxpayer resources.

Before joining the Bureau, Ms. Pryor served as Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary for Civilian Security, Democracy, and Human Rights, where she helped shape and guide the administration’s efforts to protect religious minorities from persecution, repression, and discrimination.  She previously served as a Senior Advisor for global justice in the Office of International Religious Freedom, where she worked with a broad community of religious communities to identify threats to people of faith across the globe.

Ms. Pryor’s distinguished career before joining the Department of State included a key role on the presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump leading his faith outreach initiative.  She brings to her current role deep insight on legislative matters, having served as Press Secretary and Chief of Staff for Representative J.C. Watts of Oklahoma and as Executive Director of the House Republican Conference.
