The Renco Group, Inc. alleged that the Government of Peru violated Articles 10.5 (minimum standard of treatment) and 10.7 (expropriation) of the U.S.-Peru Trade Promotion Agreement.  This arbitration is proceeding under the 2013 UNCITRAL Rules and is administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration.  Peru raised preliminary objections related to ratione temporis under Articles 10.1.3 (non-retroactivity) and 10.18.1 (time bar).
