RFE/RL station Azattyk  and NTS TV Channel  will produce three 40-minute reports on the #MeToo movement to air on both NTS and Azattyk. Azattyk will run the series on its regular talk show called “Sisterhood ,” which serves as a unique platform for discussion about women’s issues and social taboos, subjects often overlooked or avoided by media in the region.

The program will explore the movement’s background and November 2017 viral spread by talking with women stars who very publicly discussed their challenges in Hollywood; discuss the legal defense fund that was created for women facing unequal pay and discriminatory treatment, and proposed legislation to punish companies that tolerate persistent harassment, and other remedies.
