St. Petersburg TV is producing a 30-minute documentary on how the United States empowers people with disabilities through increased mobility and independence. The Russian audience will have a chance to see firsthand that people with disabilities in the United States have access to resources, are protected by a system of laws and other regulations on access, and have strong support of advocates. As a result, they can live independently and be part of the community, regardless of the size of the city or type of disability.
